This is a wrongful act. This is practically the same thing that happened with African Americans.
Whats the whole point of having rights?

i have been trying my best to pass all my classes ,take extra courses and get involved in clubs community service and things that will better my transcript to here at the end … you will not get there if you don’t have a social security number !! it is frustrating and at times gets to me but i want a future i have a father to make proud and a family to take out of poverty .i have been here 10 years so i deserve just as much if not more than those whoa are citizens and slack and still get the help they don’t deserve.

I am currently graduating from a Community College as a nurse. Back in ’06 when i graduated HS I had big dreams to attend my dream universities, but couldn’t since I don’t have a SSN. My grades were great, and I could have attended any university but being “illegal” was an obstacle for my future. I am not giving up though, I still think there’s hope, and hopefully soon I will attend a University and later Law School as I always wanted.
Never give up guys!

It is time to speak up, we have waited too long. Obama needs to take action in this. It is been far past since he he said there would be an immigration reform. We will no taccept his excuse of passing this next year as hes said several times in these past years since the start of his election. I am part of STUDENTS FOR DREAMs , we are a group of students demanding the approval of this dream act and a resonable immigration refor. Support us, visit our Facebook page under STUDENTS for DREAMs or email us at studentsfordreams@ymail.com….. The approval of the Dream act cannot wait any longer, we ave to fight and speak up now!

i think the june 15th deadline would save the 3 students who were face deportation proceedings as a result of their sit-in at senator McCain’s office this past week.
Let’s get this DREAM passed!

Some say that we broke the law, some might say that we need to go back to our countries, I wonder if they know what it feels like to be in a country for 17 years, have perfect grades, get a scholarship, get on the honors in college, and then be told by others that youre not good enough for this country. What kind of reasoning is this. I got here 17 years ago as a child, to no fault of my own i am illegal. I have fought, and i will keep fighting, brothers and sisters there is NOBODY who understand you more than me. Please contact me, I can tell you how i got my scholarship. arturoapreza@verizon.net
If we want change we have to change everything. WE must show our strengths, our inteligence, because someday soon they will listen, and we will be waiting with our 4.o’s and our scholarships, and our names on honor lists.

How many signatures do we need for this bill to be passed? When are you giving it to whom?

I’M CURRENTLY A 1ST YEAR STUDENT AT UCLA AND I’M UNDOCUMENTED. I NEED THE DREAM ACT TO HELP ME CONTINUE MY EDUCATION AND REALIZE MY DREAM OF BECOMING A DOCTOR. I WILL NOT STAND BY AND NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP THE DREAM ACT PASS. WE ALL NEED TO GET INVOLVED AND GET OUR VOICES HEARD. DON’T LET OUR ENEMIES SPEAK FOR THE UNDOCUMENTED, WHO IS BETTER TO SPEAK FOR US THAN OURSELVES. DREAM ACT 2010! TAKING THE FIRST STEP FOR IMMIGRATION REFORM.

I was a struggling high school student who never saw the importance of an Education, who just wanted to go out into the fields and work because I knew that at the end that was my future, or at least what I always told. on the year of 2004 when I was suppose to graduate my mother had a very encouraging talk where she told me that she swear on her life that me and my sister were going to get a college education because she didn’t want us to end up like her working Monday through Sunday 6 am to late night hours for minimum pay.,that gave me strength to continue and graduate one year late but I did it, sadly enough I wasn’t able to continue to college but not because my mother broke her promise, but because we were not going to see my mother kill her self to to pay 3 times more for something that in the end we were not going to be able to use. that’s why the dream act is our last hope to make out of ourselves good American and help our down fallen economy rise.
Thank y’all so much for the hard work you are doing to make the dream act become a Reality.

I understand the pain and sorrow everyone is feeling as they see their life pass before their eyes, knowing that if given the opportunity we could make a great contribution to this country, and prove wrong those who use us as the scapegoats for all the country’s problems. The economy would get a great boost by increased social security taxes, greater spending, and address the shortage of medical workers for those who are pursuing this field. This is a win-win situation for all, it’s a shame some can’t look past our “illegal” label to realize this.

I got here in 1991 as a child and because of my parents lack of knowledge of the immigration laws they submitted my papers late in 2000 now i been waiting for ten years in line for my visa to become legal. I have worked very hard to graduate high school and went to a community college and I did all kind of jobs to help my mom pay for my school. I graduated this last summer with a Associates in Science and biology but now there is no way my family can afford the university. I been struggling since i can remember and its never been easy but i just keep going with the hope that the Dream Act will be pass and i can finish my school. We must not give up and keep working hard together to get this passed. God will smile upon us and we will be given the opportunity to live life as honor students that we are and not the lingering shadows in the dark.

I graduated high school in 02. I attended college 4 a few semesters, but drop out bcuz I couldn’t afford it, because I was discourage bcuz of my illegal status I now regret it so much. But even if I had finish college I would b in da same place it wouldn’t have made a difference bcuz da dream act is not yet pass. I’m now selling tamales out of a catering truck in da streets of los angeles. Getting pay less them minimum gage. I don’t complain its my job & it puts food in da table. All I want is to have a better future 4 my family specially my son, he deserves better then this. I don’t loose hope that 1day I’ll be abel 2 go back 2 school & provide a better life 4 my son.

I was born in the United States but my boyfriend who is originally from Mexico came to this country when he was 3 yrs old, with a high school diploma and everything i’VE SEEN HOW MUCH OF A GREAT STUDENT HE IS! He and not only him but thousands of students deserve the same oppurtunities we do as native borns. I’ve seen him suffer because of financial aid and not having a social security I’ll be praying to God that this Dream Act can be made into a law, this is unfair and unjust to so many dreamers I want to be able to see my boyfriend succeed and the rest of the undocumented youth…. If this is a so called country of oppurtunities let it have its name!

I have lived in the U.S. since I was three. I tried my hardest throughout my school years and was encouraged by my great teachers who motivated me to become the best that I could. I graduated from high school a year ago with great grades, but at the end I couldn’t attend any of my dream schools because of my immigration status. It’s frustrating to be treated as a criminal for simply wanting a better future. Please let the Dream become a reality for the thousands like myself who simply want a chance to prove themselves.

i have lived in the us for more then 11 years and i have tried any way posible to joing the marines because my dreams is to become a solder in the strogest army in the world, but i can not joing because of my immigration status, i just want to serve the country that i grow in ….

I have lived in the United States since I was 6 years old. I’ve always tried my best in school and kept up with my grades. I don’t think I’ve ever made below a B in any class and I know for sure that i have a better GPA (3.9) than most of my soon to graduate class. This is whole not having a social security number really makes it hard to apply for college. I will be graduating this May 19th and really hope that everyone’s dream (including mince) comes true in our hope for a higher education.

I came to the US when I 12 years old, Im 23 now and never had a bigger dream than the DREAM ACT TO BE PASSED! I went from middle school all the way to my second year in college and had to drop out because I couldn’t afford it and couldn’t use any of the two scholarships that I received in art school. I’ve been fired many times from jobs, not because I was inefficient or didn’t want to work but because of my illegal status. I have cried myself to sleep thinking that all I could do is work in some factory breaking my back for a below minimum wage paycheck and never to be able to be successful and a proud chilean/american artist. PLEASE SENATORS HEAR OUR VOICES,WE NEED THIS,WE DESERVE THIS,WE BELIEVE THAT DREAMS DO COME TRUE AND THAT THIS COUNTRY IS GREAT AND FAIR AND DOES GIVE A HAND TO THE ONES IN NEED.PLEASE PASS THE DREAM ACT NOW!!
